Sunspot data for 17 December 2023 of period 2023Q4: (PREV DAY - NEXT DAY)

Today started out grey, but in the afternoon it cleared completely, albeit with some tiny patches of very thin stratus. Transparency was poor, but the scintillation monitor reported good seeing on average. It failed, however, to quantify the large undulations which made the sun look like rubber. I made the following observation:

Reference:               Earth's rotation axis
Exposure (transparency): 0.800ms (using 82nm bandwidth green filter)
Seeing (SSSMon):         1.5-2.5" (1.0" at best)
