| this afternoon I had some sunny spells again and made some observations. Initially with the 7.5x magnification I saw nothing special, then with the 40x magnification at 15:50 UTC I could clearly see a bright area. Now I am not sure if this is of interest, but I made a sketch anyway... After I found the spot at high magnification, I made attached image with the SkyWatcher Esprit 150ED at 16:04 UTC, which confirmed the location of the bright area (north celestial pole is up, the image should be mirrored to match the sketches). Then I reverted back to the 7.5x magnification (this gives me a full disc on paper) and managed to see that bright spot again and drawn it at 16:20 UTC. Both GTT60 observations made at full aperture (i.e. not stopped down). | |
